In our opinion, truly beautiful rooms are inspired by nature. Furniture and decorations made from natural materials not only have a smaller ecological footprint than many other materials, but also contribute to a more exclusive and wonderful feeling. This is exactly the feeling we sought when we founded Wood on Wall in 2020 and began manufacturing acoustic panels that enhance the design and sound experience in homes and businesses throughout Sweden and Europe.
Why acoustic panels?
Open floor plans, high ceilings and hard materials are a big part of the architecture and interior design that we see in modern Swedish rooms today. Many times it is an environment that gives a lovely visual feeling, but it less often leads to a good sound environment. That said, a sound-absorbing acoustic solution does not have to be something that reduces the open feeling in our rooms. On the contrary, it can enhance the feeling and create an even better room climate. Our acoustic panels are designed to give the most aesthetically pleasing ribbed wall or ceiling you can imagine, without compromising on function.
Manufacturing of acoustic panels
In the pursuit of creating perfection, Wood on Wall has become one of Sweden's leading manufacturers of acoustic panels. We always deliver premium products that live up to the high expectations of all our customers. The acoustic panels are manufactured on a moisture-resistant, premium MDF that can handle up to 65% relative humidity in a room, which makes the product suitable for use in a bathroom environment outside the shower zone. Once on the MDF, all veneer is A-class and treated with oil or varnish, which makes the panel more durable and age-resistant.
An environmentally friendly panel
For us, it is not only important to deliver a sustainable product from a design point of view, we also want to deliver an ecologically and socially sustainable product. That is why we only use wood that comes from sustainable forestry, with consideration for the environment and people's working conditions. However, our acoustic panels do not consist solely of wood. The felt that is embedded behind Wood on Wall's panel slats is made from recovered PET bottles and plastic collected from our oceans. Without an acoustic felt behind the slats, we would not have achieved the same wonderful sound-absorbing effect.
Place an order – plant a tree
For us, it is important to deliver a premium product, while taking responsibility for our planet. We do this partly through our material choices, but we also have a collaboration with the organization Plantmore. Plantmore owns and manages tree plantations in the Baltics. Every time someone places an order with us at Wood on Wall, Plantmore plants a new tree. In this way, we can future-proof wood resources for future generations, while also binding CO2 in real time. We see nature as our source of inspiration, while also sourcing materials from it. Therefore, we want to do everything we can to preserve it.
